Western Runner - Cadet Butte
Explore the Butte collectionThe feel of a horse show blanket, underfoot.
Product images are digital renderings. Actual colors may vary from what you see on screen. Pattern scale and proportion will shift based on the size you select. Each piece is handwoven and unique — no two are identical.
Bold interlocking trapezoids in navy, slate blue, and cream.
Broad wedge shapes tessellate down the runner, alternating point-up and point-down in deep navy, dusty slate blue, warm taupe, and cream. The blocks lock together edge to edge with no border. Clean, graphic, and quietly modern.
Woven in Kanpur, India — a city known the world over as the Leather City — Cadet Butte is made to order by master artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. Every piece is conceived in-house by Tom and Joseph Meic and brought to life by hand on traditional looms.
Because each piece is woven entirely by hand, Cadet Butte is imperfectly perfect. Slight variations in texture, tension, and tone are not flaws — they are the signature of something genuinely made. No two runners are identical, and that is exactly the point.
Materials & construction
| Fiber | Natural and synthetic yarns — New Zealand wool, synthetic, or a blend, specified per piece at production |
| Construction | Inspired by western saddle pad weaving — reimagined for the home |
| Origin | "Leather City" — Kanpur, India |
| Vacuuming | Brushless recommended |
Care
Vacuum regularly with a brushless attachment. Blot spills promptly with a damp cloth and mild soap — never saturate. Over time, a loose yarn may rise above the surface. Never pull it, and never cut down into the rug; instead, lift it lightly and trim it level with the surface. Air dry only. Not suited to wet or outdoor spaces.
Like every handwoven piece, your rug or runner will gently shift, settle and soften with time and use. It's part of its organic character, and what makes it yours.
Shipping & returns
Each rug and runner ships separately via FedEx 2Day, $250 per piece.
