Our Story
Meet Joseph & Tom
One of us grew up in Albany, Georgia. The other grew up halfway around the world in Sydney, Australia. Somehow, our paths crossed in Atlanta in 2024. We fell in love, got married in 2025, and that same year, So Shexy came to life.
Most couples start a family. We started a business. (Our moms are still hoping for grandkids. For now, they'll have to settle for flowers.)
Our backgrounds are a pretty unexpected mix of biology, marketing, business, and western fashion. But we've always shared a love for beautiful spaces, interesting design, and pieces that have a little personality. So Shexy grew from that shared love and a simple idea: your home should feel like you, not like everyone else's.
The Pieces
We personally design every rug and runner, working closely with skilled artisan weavers who bring our designs to life by hand. Our vessels are made by equally talented artisans, each with its own character and beauty. We thoughtfully select every botanical and compose each arrangement ourselves, bringing together natural form, texture, and movement to create pieces that feel both sculptural and effortlessly elegant.
The People
Over time, our relationships with these artisans have grown into meaningful friendships. We know the people behind our pieces, we care deeply about them, and we value those connections just as much as the beautiful things we create together. There's a lot of love and trust behind So Shexy, and that's something we're especially proud of.

Our PhilosophyWe've been fortunate to connect with wonderful people around the world, and we're currently shipping throughout the United States. But no matter how much So Shexy grows, we want to keep the personal connection that started it all.
