Sculptural vessel
Toro
Mid-century Italian wit with a Western streak — a conversation piece that stares right back.
The vessel
Part totem, part trophy, all attitude. Toro was hand-thrown in Italy — a tall, tapered body in a warm cream crackle glaze, crowned with curled horns and carved with a bull’s face: pierced eyes, flared nostrils and a sly, knowing smile. Below, rows of dots, diamonds, circles and pierced slats wrap the base like a woven band. We searched for another and never found one. A true one of one.
