Warm taupe, stone grey, and a flash of terracotta — grounded and alive at once.

Silt Quoin is a study in earth. A rich taupe-brown field anchors the structure, with bold rounded forms in stone grey bridging across it in opposing directions. A thin terracotta stripe cuts vertically through the composition — unexpected, and exactly right. A mocha border wraps the whole thing in. Desert geology, woven flat.

Woven in Kanpur, India — a city known the world over as the Leather City — Silt Quoin is made to order by master artisans whose craft has been passed down through generations. Every piece is conceived in-house by Tom and Joseph Meic and brought to life by hand on traditional looms.

Because each piece is woven entirely by hand, Silt Quoin is imperfectly perfect. Slight variations in texture, tension, and tone are not flaws — they are the signature of something genuinely made. No two rugs are identical, and that is exactly the point.

Materials & construction
Fiber Natural and synthetic yarns — New Zealand wool, synthetic, or a blend, specified per piece at production
Construction Inspired by western saddle pad weaving — reimagined for the home
Origin "Leather City" — Kanpur, India
Vacuuming Brushless recommended
Care

Vacuum regularly with a brushless attachment. Blot spills promptly with a damp cloth and mild soap — never saturate. Over time, a loose yarn may rise above the surface. Never pull it, and never cut down into the rug; instead, lift it lightly and trim it level with the surface. Air dry only. Not suited to wet or outdoor spaces.

Like every handwoven piece, your rug or runner will gently shift, settle and soften with time and use. It's part of its organic character, and what makes it yours.

Shipping & returns

Each rug and runner ships separately via FedEx 2Day, $250 per piece.
